- 1 cup water
- 1 Tbs. arrowroot powder OR cornstarch (thickener)
Put 3/4 cup of the water in a small saucepan; bring to a boil. Dissolve arrowroot powder or cornstarch in remaining 1/4 cup water and stir into boiling water. Stir vigorously for 30 seconds. Cool thick water before using.
Increase quantities to match the needs of the recipe. Example: if 1-3/4 c. of thick water is needed use 1 3/4 c. water and 1-3/4 T. of thickener.
If you like a thicker or thinner dressing, increase or decrease thickener quantities accordingly.
