POPCORN WITH BROWNED BUTTER AND NUTRITIONAL YEAST

Contributed by Lynne Snyder

Put a tablespoon of butter in a hot pan and let it brown. Pour out and repeat. This is the secret to fabulous popcorn. Spread it on the popcorn with a rubber spatula. Using a spatula allows you to put only two tablespoons butter on a whole batch and it tastes like there is twice as much. Add a little salt or sprinkle with nutritional yeast that has been whirred in a coffee mill with salt. (½ cup nutritional yeast and 1 tsp. salt. This will cover at least four batches, maybe six.) I make browned butter in advance and keep it in the fridge.
